halloween: sharing North American traditions in Danmark =)

last night we had a dinner party complete with pumpkin carving with the internationals.  2 canadians, 2 americans, a newzealander, german, french, and dane were present.  we followed the home-made pizza (all varieties of pesto, chicken, sun-dried tomato, spinach, buffalo mozzarella) with PUMPKIN spice pancakes and cinnamon apples.  YUMMY.

Vincent is from France, so pumpkin carving was a decidedly new tradition for him.  He was an eager participant though =)  It was hard to explain why you have to carve out all the insides, and what the "good" meat is...I had never really thought about how intrinsic these ideas are to us.
